I had the privilege to study abroad in Florence, Italy for 6 weeks during the summer of 2024. Prior to my departure overseas, and during my time in Italy, I created a series of posters inspired by the places I traveled to within the country. The first of the series, “Firenze”, was illustrated and screen printed in the month before my program began. It evokes the architecture of the renaissance-era city as well as landmarks and symbols crucial to the city’s identity - wine, lions, bridges. “Firenze” is a two color screen print on black 80lb French Paper.

The other two posters, “Siena” and “Sorrento”, were illustrated during my time in those locations. I was greatly inspired by the decoration within churches and the architecture in these locales, as well as the natural landmarks and cultural importances.
