I had the privilege to study abroad in Florence, Italy for 6 weeks during the summer of 2024. Prior to my departure overseas, and during my time in Italy, I created a series of posters inspired by the place I had traveled to within the country. The first of the series “Firenze” was illustrated and screen printed in the month before my program began. It evokes the architecture of the renaissance city as well as landmarks and symbols crucial to the city’s identity - wine, lions, bridges. “Firenze” is a two color screen print on black 80lb French Paper.

The other two posters, “Siena” and “Sorrento”, were illustrated during my time in those locations. I was greatly inspired by the decoration within churches and other buildings in these locales, as well as the natural landmarks and cultural importances.
