PROJECT Lasercut Letterpress “Animal” Poster

This poster run highlights the weird and fantastic urban legends and monsters of my home state, Indiana. From giant turtles to floating eyeballs, Indiana boasts a spectacular array of monstrous folklore.
The edition features two colorways, printed on 80lb French Paper Co. Cream Speckletone and Smart White paper. Each color layer was printed using laser cut wood, cut in the Eskenazi Fabrication Labs. Printed by hand on a Vandercook Proofing Press in the Indiana University Type Shop.
“Return to Nature” was exhibited in Pyramid Atlantic Art Center’s juried Press On exhibition in Hyattsville, MD. Press On is an international, juried exhibition on the art of letterpress printing. You can learn more about the exhibition and the other featured works online.
“Return to Nature” was mentioned in Washington City Paper’s 2025 article on contemporary art exhibitions in the D.C. area in July 2025.
